This page covers two groups of people: businesses that create a Faze for Business account ("you", the account holder), and visitors to a website where a business has installed the Faze widget ("visitors"). It does not cover the separate, free Faze browser extension, which has its own disclosure shown the first time you use it.
When you sign up: your email address, a hashed (never plain-text) copy of your password, and the URL of the website you register. Your subscription status and Stripe customer/subscription IDs are stored to keep billing in sync — we never see or store your card details; Stripe handles that directly under its own privacy policy.
When you trigger a crawl from your dashboard, we fetch the pages of your registered website and store the extracted visible text (not images, scripts, or files) so Faze can answer questions grounded in your own content. Re-crawling replaces the previously stored text.
When someone uses the Faze widget on your site, we receive the message they type, a short summary of visible buttons/links/headings on their current page (so Faze can point at the right one), and that page's URL. The widget does not set its own tracking cookies and does not collect anything about a visitor beyond what they type into the chat.
Crawled site content and visitor chat messages are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate Faze's responses. We don't use this data for anything else, and we don't sell it to anyone. Account and billing information is used only to operate your subscription.
Anthropic (to generate AI responses), Stripe (to process billing), and Cloudflare (our hosting infrastructure). Each processes data under their own privacy terms. We don't share data with anyone else.
Passwords are hashed, session cookies are HTTP-only and transmitted over TLS, and payment details never touch our servers at all.
To delete your account and stored data, contact us using the details below — there's no self-serve delete button yet.
